Mindless window gazing

It is completely dark outside. A black cat tip-toed its way through the garden down below. The anchor man held up a lantern. Moons fell through the pond.

The hinge is so rusted that lifting the window frame became impossible. Air grew dense inside the room. Light slowed down and lengthened time. Breathing became difficult. Something grabbed his throat and pushed him against the window pane.

Bang. The sound sliced through the openness and dropped to garden ground.

Crows flew up from tree tops. Darker is the night, along sings a distant choir:

“Thou shalt not see, for thine heart be flooded with light”
